You notice it opening a jar. Then carrying shopping. Then at 3 a.m., when your hand has gone numb again.
Most hand pain is not caused by one big injury. It builds from thousands of small movements — typing, gripping, lifting, scrolling — and from the way the wrist folds under you while you sleep.
What the brace does
It holds the wrist and the base of the thumb in a neutral position, so the joint stops making the movement that aggravates it. A removable metal splint does the supporting; the rest is thin enough to leave your fingers free.
- Wearable on the left or right hand
- Adjustable straps, no tools
- Breathable fabric for all-day wear, thin enough to sleep in
When people wear it
At night — to keep the wrist from bending while you sleep, which is when numbness and tingling usually wake people.
During the task — the hour of typing, gardening, lifting or crafting that you know you will feel afterwards.
Not all day, every day. A brace supports; muscles still need to work.
Honest about what it does
Support is not treatment. Limiting the aggravating movement takes the edge off for many people, but it does not cure arthritis or carpal tunnel. If you have numbness, weakness or night pain, get it looked at — those are worth a diagnosis, not a guess.
Getting the size right
Measure around your wrist just below the bone and use the chart on the product page. It should be firm, not tight: if your fingers tingle or go cold, loosen the straps.
Questions we get
Can I wear it while typing? Yes, that is the most common use. Take it off for breaks.
Left or right? One brace fits either hand. Many people order two, because the second hand usually follows.
Can I wash it? Remove the splint, hand wash cool, air dry.
